OOTD: Combat boots

Day 3

This was a more laid back day. My best friend and his hubby drove us to Seattle,Washington and did a little shopping. The only problem is, it rained like forever! We enjoyed it though. Here's what I wore that day. I am sorry for the photo quality.

You should know by now that I am really into colored jeans.

These are really comfy boots and I like the fur.

This was part of my wishlist in September and now I finally got them!
I bought this at Charlotte Russe on sale for only $10! And this is the last pair!

I love coach bags so while on there I bought one. I got this for $125.

OOTD: Riding boots

Remember I said on my previous post that I had misfortunes in Vancouver. Well this was one of those! You can probably tell from the photos that I look haggard and tired, it's because I really was.

Day 2- Victoria, B.C.

In the morning of Friday we received a good news though, our passports were ready to pick up and so we went. In Vancouver it's a pain in the butt to drive because of the traffic and parking fees are really costly. So we've decided to commute for the rest of our stay. Going to the loomis express where we got our passports took us an hour and another hour back to the bus stop where we took the next bus going to the ferry terminal. In order for us to get to Victoria which by the way is an island, is by ferry.

We were really excited because we heard a lot of nice tourist spots in Victoria so we've decided to check what they have to offer. We took the 2:00 pm ferry and we got there at 3:30 pm. We really had no idea how to get to downtown Victoria so we took a cab. Little did we know that it's an hour drive to get there so we ended up paying $70! We arrived at our destination which is the Craigdarroch Castle and guess what??? They closes at 4:30 pm! What a bum! After learning that they were closed we've decided that we are done! We did not have the energy to check the other places because I bet you they are all closed too so we went back to mainland Vancouver very upset and disappointed.

We've learned a lot of lessons here. Next time we visit a place we have to plan our travel effectively and efficiently which I normally do but this time I really don't know what happened. I guess it was really not my day.

"Go Jennifer, it's your birthday!"

Today is my 28th birthday! Yay! Time passes so fast I want to be 18 again.:)

There are times when I miss being young and sometimes think it would be nice to be a little kid again and not have to really worry about anything.

I pre celebrated my birthday last Saturday where me and my boyfriend went for a movie and dinner. Today I am spending my birthday at work (sucks). Six days from now my boyfriend is going to celebrate his 28th birthday (yes, our birthday falls on the same month and so as our anniversary). We'll probably just gonna go out again and have dinner for his birthday.

What I am excited about is our upcoming trip. This year we've decided to celebrate our anniversary in Vancouver, BC. I am really looking forward to seeing my best friend whom I haven't seen since we graduated high school. JM (my boyfriend's name) on the other hand is also going to visit his relatives.

Enough of that I guess, I will be discussing about our trip on my next blog. For now let's focus on my special day. :)

I have a lot to be grateful for. An amazing boyfriend, loving family and trustworthy friends. I am just blessed by everyone around me and bottom line is age doesn't really matter, it's the love that you give and receive that truly matters.

Have a wonderful day ladies!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey y'all!

We Filipinos do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but since I live in Canada me and my housemates decided to at least cook something for dinner.

In the Philippines we have "Fiestas" (festival). Fiestas are held to celebrate a patron saint (the Philippines is the only majority-Christian country in Southeast Asia) or to mark the passage of the seasons, depending on which part of the country you're in. The sole exception is Christmas, where the whole country breaks out in celebrations that can begin long before December.

I can describe fiestas in 2 words, FOOD & DRINKS!  It is also a time to reunite with friends, family & relatives.

Pancit Palabok (Filipino noodle dish), Embutido (similar to meatloaf), Chicken wings & Leche Flan (also known as Caramel custard)- I made this one!
Macaroni Salad & Asparagus with Shrimp- I made this one too.

And for us Filipinos, parties or gatherings would not be complete without....Karaoke!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
